Commissioning music is simply requesting a composer to write an original musical work or composition of sound. Typically, these are for Movie's, Advanced Games, Animations, Adverts. etc... and also for celebratory events such as for a couple on their Wedding Day, Birthday, Mothers day etc...To celebrate an individual in a this unique manner often suprises them and brings an emotion never forgotten and the song is treasured forever.

 I am concentrating on compositions as my primary source of income, my fees are less than many other composers and the quality is exactly the same. Usually, payments are made in two installments, but this, like all else, is totally negotiable. We can work together and fees and your needs will be established early in the discussions.

This sounds like just what I need, but how do we start?

All I need to know for most compositions are:

The function, purpose or occasion
The type of composition (Piano, Strings,Orchestra, Whatever you have in mind)
Maybe you have a timeline, "I must have an original piece by tomorrow!" No problem, I will work late into the night to get it right for you.
The length of the piece itself i.e When I compose for games and it has to be a dramatic piece that lasts 4 min 33 secs, I will create a composition exactly that length, even to the nearest 1/100th of a second, as timing is essential.
Finaly one more thing...any ideas you have yourself about what sound you might like in the composition. Music is about fun and most of our emotions we can associate with a musical piece,so send me an email and let's make music. No project too big or too small.
